A live performance by Bollywood singer and music producer Arjun is the latest project by an Irish-based promoter being touted as ‘the new face of Bollywood in Ireland’.

Aayush Mann, from Himachal Pradesh, moved to Ireland four years ago and by day is known as a founder member of the Irish-Indian Society, which helps new students arriving in Ireland with guidance on accommodation, jobs and adjusting to life in a new country.

But he has also built a reputation among the younger members of the Indian and Pakistani communities and beyond for his Bollywood-themed events and music nights featuring performers and DJs from around the world.

As Mann prepares to bring Arjun and international star DJ Yash to Dublin on 15 June for his fifth Bang On Bollywood night at Temple Bar’s Club M, he is also working on his own music.

Mann’s self-titled production company recently released its first experimental music video for ‘Sajna’, a track sung by Mann himself and believed to be the first ever Hindi music video shot in Ireland. So far the clip is a hit online, with more than a quarter of a million views to date.

Now Mann is ready to release his latest track, a Punjabi dance number for which a video will be shot this month and locations in Ireland are being finalised. He is also currently working on a movie project with his team, in which he will take the leading role.
