A NEW CHILDREN’S book uses stories and illustrations to introduce children to five of Ireland’s priority partner countries in Africa and Asia.

Published by Irish Aid, the Government’s programme of assistance to developing countries, One World, Our World focuses on stories from Ethiopia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania and Vietnam.
The book is intended primarily for 10–12 year olds or fifth and sixth classes, and copies are free of charge. Multiple editions are also available to schools, libraries, education centres and colleges of education
“The stories in the book capture the beauty and diversity of these countries in Africa and in Asia,” said Minister for Overseas Development Aid, Peter Power. “They also introduce young Irish people to the development challenges facing the youth of the developing world.”
